Sorry, I got your user name wrong the first time. I think you are seeing things in the scriptures that take some stretch of the imagination. I certainly don't have answers to a lot of what is in there. But I do not see the gay thing everywhere you do. A different perspecctive, I suppose.
how many times have you heard incidents involving members particularly ministerial servants or elders not behaving as they should and upsetting others?.
how many times have you heard of change of watchtower doctrines, beliefs & practices, incorrect dates of the supposed happening of armaggedon?.
how many times have you heard of cases of paedophillia being 'hushed' & brushed under the carpet in an attempt to keep the watchtowers name squeaky clean and keeping the guilty party from recieving the rightful due punishment?.
They can use the imperfection card at will, but others are not given that choice. They make their members accountable for anything they choose, but who holds them accoutable? I really do believe their day of accountability will come and has already begun in some areas. The courts will not accept the imperfection card. They better hurry and get Judah Ben through law school because they are going to need him.

If you pay attention, the jws always focus on things like planned surgery when discussing the blood issue. Yes, it is possible to plan and execute a surgery without using blood transfusions. It is still much more of a risk to the patient, however.
When you have a trauma with massive blood loss, there is no way to keep a person alive without blood transfusions. The body cannot survive if the oxygen carrying capacity is reduced below a certain level. Volume expanders will not help.
This is what started my exit from the jws. They are dishonest when talking about bloodless medicine. It is really bloodless surgery they are talking about and there is no guarantee on that either.
It is not a peaceful death to die of massive blood loss. The heart beats at an extreme rate tring to get oxygen to the brain and vital organs. There is accompanied by horrific chest pain as the heart cannot get enough oxygen. The breathing follows suit, as the body tries to get more oxygen, until the person is in severe respiratory distress (gasping horribly for air).
I believe every jw should be required to watch a death caused by blood loss before they can sign away their right to use blood in an emergency and that of their children.
The society uses the bait and switch technique with the blood doctrine. They lie to their followers. They will have to answer for this.
i was among the jw's for 30 whole years.
left them in 1999 and it was the best thing i ever did.
i can't believe how much i was deprived of, for that matter, all jw's.

Yes, freedom is a great thing and to be cherished. I too spent 30 years doing their bidding. I am glad they have no control over your children. I have 2 grown children still in and they can cause great harm by spliting families, sometimes for life.

I agree in that verse that Jesus was not talking about literal castration. However, how would being a homosexual with urges towards the same sex be any different than a heterosexual? There would be no more freeing of oneself in this situation. It would make sense if the verse meant a person felt no need for sex and therefore could concentrate wholly on their service to God, without this distraction.
I feel you are taking liberties with the meaning of this verse that just don't apply.
